Sie sind in der lebhaften Dortmunder Nordstadt leicht zu übersehen: Die versteckten Ecken ohne Funktion, mit unbestimmter Identität und fehlender Interaktionsmöglichkeit – Die sogenannten „Unorte“. Der gleichnamige Kurs an der FH Dortmund hat es sich unter Leitung von Prof. Nora Fuchs und Susanne Kleinlein zum Ziel gesetzt, diese Räume zu transformieren und den Bewohnenden der Nordstadt somit einen Mehrwert zu bieten. Mit ihrer Aktion „Nordwandel“ weisen 7 Studierende aus dem Master Szenografie und Kommunikation auf das unentdeckte
Potential dieser Ecken hin, entwickeln temporäre Neugestaltungen, Problemlösungen und (teils realisierbare) Utopien, stets in Bezug zu den diversen Lebensrealitäten und Bedürfnissen der Nordstädter:innen.
Von mobilen Möbelsystemen und Markständen über speziellen Frauenzonen bis hin zu architektonischen Visionen und einem interkulturellen Gemeinschaftsgarten gibt es viel zu entdecken. Die Ergebnisse des Kurses sind so bunt und vielfältig wie das Leben in der Nordstadt selbst!
Die Projekte werden am 23.09.21 zwischen 14:00 und 17:00 Uhr an ihrem jeweiligen Zielort präsentiert, die Teilnahme ist kostenlos.

They are easy to overlook in lively Nordstadt:The hidden corners without function, with undefined identity and missing possibility to interact – The so called „Non-Places“. The same-named seminar at the FH Dortmund, run by Prof. Nora Fuchs and Susanne Kleinlein, has set the objective to transform them and hence giving the habitants of the Nordstadt an added value. With their campaign „Nordwandel“, 7 students of the Scenography and Communication masters program point out the undiscovered potential of these spaces in the Nordstadt, develope temporary redesigns, problem solutions and (partly realisable) utopia, always in relation to the diverse living-realities and the needs of the Nordstadt people. From mobile outdoor-furnituresystems and market stalls to women-zones to architectonic visions and an intercultural community garden there is a lot to discover. The results of the seminar are as colorful and varied as life in the Nordstadt itself! They are presented at their specific locations on the 23rd September 2021, between 2 and 5pm. Attendance is free.
Termin: 23. September von 14 – 17 Uhr. Während dieser Zeit sind alle Studierenden vor Ort / bei ihrer Arbeit und persönlich ansprechbar. All Students will present their works between 2 and 5 PM.
